Tonights Ride
Tonights Ride should be good, it is from the Fox and Hounds at Blidworth Bottoms 7pm as usual, Riding through the various woods which are about the area. see you there.
The Four Bells Woodborough
Ride from The Four Bells Occured last week, the 10th, good ride had once again,a map of the ride is shown above, this gives you a good idea of the diversity of riding we do.
The Nelson Ride
The weather was fine, very windy and slightly cold last night as 8 cyclists took part in the 7pm ride from the Lord Nelson public house in Burton Joyce.
We rode down stoke lane through severn trent permissive paths to the River Trent, which we followed through to Colwick park, round the back of the new glass apartments onto Trent Lane, we then made our way round to Ladybay bridge and over the river, two Riders rode down the stone staircases to the back of Nottingham Forest Football ground.
The next stage took us all the way to the Wilford Toll bridge near the Ferry Inn pub, we went over the bridge, made our way onto bird cage walk and through to lenton, where we dropped down onto the Beeston canal and back into Nottingham.
The return journey from Nottingham went through Sneinton up Carlton Hill, at the top we turned left onto Stand hill Road and then cut through the walk ways onto Porchester Road, we followed Porchester Road to the top Woodborough Road junction.
We then turned right and cycled along Mapperley Top to Chartwell Heights passing the Bread and Bitter public house along the way. From the Chartwell Heights we ventured down a walk way on to Spring Lane and headed towards Lambley and the last leg of our ride.
The last leg back to Burton Joyce was via a right turn onto a bridleway, across the main road and back to the Lord Nelson for a well earned pint.
Everyone enjoyed the ride and we all look forward to next weeks ride which will be announced next Tuesday, details will be put on this tuesday club Blog.

Nelson Ride

The first ride of 2012 is from the Lord Nelson at Burton Joyce 7pm Sharp, it will be an Urban ride passing through Colwick Park and along the Beeston canal, from there we will see what happens, all are welcome,
Fox & Hounds Blidworth
29th November saw the tuesday nighters do another epic ride from the Fox & Hounds in Blidworth.
The weather was cold but fine, the ride followed the Pig trail over to Ravenshead and the main entrance to Newstead Abbey, through to a trail leading up to the left taking us over a hill down a staircase and over to Harlow wood, across the road and into Normans hill woods doing a lap through technical trails and back over into Thieves wood, through the next woods and made our way over to Cauldwell dam near Mansfield, again did a lap of the woods, lovely technical trails climbs and drop offs, back over and making our way through more woods coming out onto Rigg lane at the back of Blidworth for the race back to the pub.
11 riders turned up and 11 finished, sandwiches and a pint after made it a good ride, covering 20 miles in just over 2 hours, anyone interested in our rides speak to the shop,we start at 7pm from various venues, the 6th of December will see us at the Cross keys in Epperstone.
Great ride in sherwood pines
Tuesdays ride from the Lurcher into sherwood pines was brilliant, 8 people arrived and we had a good thrash round the red route in dry and dusty conditions
